The Global Fund for Children’s spring gala on April 26 was an evening of inspiration, entertainment, and powerful testimony by grassroots leaders on the front lines of the refugee crisis.
It was a special night, as GFC supporters gathered at the Great Hall at Middle Temple in London for elegant dining and live and silent auctions. Guest speakers Rados Djurovic (Asylum Protection Center, Serbia), and Hayley Roffey (asphaleia action, United Kingdom), painted a moving picture of the plight of young refugees, many of whom make their harrowing journeys completely alone.

More than 200 guests raised £700,000 to support thousands of vulnerable children and youth around the world.
Rados and Hayley shared an additional message of thanks to the GFC community. The commitment and compassion of GFC supporters has been critical to their organizations—and all of GFC’s grassroots partners—as they restore safety and security to children and youth enduring incredible hardships.
Numerous corporate sponsors and individual supporters donated various items—from Caribbean resort packages to exclusive horse-racing tickets—for the silent and live auctions, which together brought in £134,000. The incredibly entertaining British author Jeffrey Archer served as our lively auctioneer! We are so grateful to all who contributed to the evening’s success.
Board members of GFC attended the evening gala affair.
