Celebrating Three Decades of Impact: Global Fund for Children Raises Over £1.5 Million at 30th Anniversary Gala

An evening of celebration unfolded at the Global Fund for Children’s 30th Anniversary Gala, marking a significant milestone in the pursuit of children’s rights worldwide.Esteemed guests, partners, and supporters congregated for an unforgettable occasion dedicated to honouring three decades of advocacy for the world’s most vulnerable youth.

The highlight of the evening was the remarkable generosity of donors, notably the £800,000 raised by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, who presented a symbolic cheque during the event.

We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support demonstrated tonight,” remarked Hayley Roffey Co-CEO, “This significant contribution thanks to funds raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, will fuel our ongoing efforts to empower children and young people worldwide, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive.”

Leading the festivities were joint CEOs, John Hecklinger and Hayley Roffey, joined by a constellation of luminaries including GFC Founder Maya Ajmera, Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Nitro), sports icons Tim Benjamin and Mark Richardson, rugby legend Serge Betsen, Peloton’s Hannah Frankson, acclaimed actor MyAnna Buring, Grammy-winning gospel singer Jonathan McReynolds, and Global Fund for Children’s Ambassador Susan Chardy. The event was elegantly hosted by Zuri Hall, Emmy award-winning US TV personality, social activist, and Global Fund for Children Ambassador.

Through captivating multimedia experiences, including video presentations, live performances, and culinary delights including a specially curated menu for the evening, attendees were introduced to the impactful work of Global Fund for Children’s partners, underscoring the organisation’s unwavering dedication to empowering local communities.
