Climate resilience

Young people are mobilizing to address climate change. They are building resilience in their communities, educating their families and communities, advocating for policy changes, and stewarding the environment. We work with young leaders and youth-led organizations finding real solutions for both people and the planet.

Resourcing youth climate leadership

Young people are blazing a trail in the fight against climate change. Fueled by the support of their peers and local organizations, these bold and pioneering young people are transforming challenges into opportunities, advocating for sustainable solutions, safeguarding the environment, and emerging as formidable climate leaders.

Climate change presents an existential challenge for the planet, especially for children and young people, with climate-related disasters disrupting their lives. Extreme weather events increase the risk of forced migration, leading to loss of community and stability. The anxiety and stress related to climate change and its effects impact mental health, causing feelings of helplessness and despair about the future. Climate change exacerbates existing inequalities, affects children’s health, and disproportionally effects women and girls, as their sexual and reproductive rights are usually the least prioritized as humanitarian efforts often focus on life-threatening situations.

We work alongside inspiring young leaders advocating for better policies, creating green spaces, and promoting sustainable economic development. By supporting their efforts, we help them turn their ideas into action. From Brazil to Vietnam, young people are leading the way.
