Announcing the 2025 Dignity Award winner

Founded in 2013, Autism Voice is a community-based organization in South London that supports Black and global-majority families facing unique challenges in accessing autism services. Recognizing that cultural differences, language barriers, and a lack of inclusive spaces meant that many autistic children and their families were not receiving the care they deserved, Autism Voice set out to ensure that families had access to autism services that reflected their lived experiences.

Advocacy Messages for the VAC Ministerial Meeting, Bogota 2024

A rich body of evidence demonstrates the critical interrelation between gender-based violence (GBV) and violence against children (VAC). These issues are interconnected and mutually reinforcing, and intersect with other forms of systemic oppression that disproportionately impact vulnerable populations, particularly women, girls, and gender nonconforming individuals from marginalized groups (UN Women, 2021; UNICEF, 2020).

International Day of the Girl Child: Celebrating Sierra Leone’s Landmark Ban on Child Marriage

The International Day of the Girl Child is a powerful reminder to honor the tireless efforts of young advocates and organizations working to build a world where every girl can reach her full potential, free from discrimination, violence, and poverty. This Day, celebrated throughout the month of October calls us to celebrate the incredible milestones achieved on behalf of girls’ rights, well-being, and empowerment. One such achievement is Sierra Leone’s recent ban on child marriage, a landmark victory in the fight for girls' rights that protects countless young girls from early marriage and its lifelong consequences.
