Thalita Silva

Program Coordinator

Thalita Silva (Thali) is part of the Americas team at Global Fund for Children, where she serves as a Program Coordinator. She has extensive experience in activism, popular education and mobilization at national and regional levels, dedicating herself to the conservation of biodiversity, the promotion of rights and the strengthening of the autonomy of vulnerable populations and traditional communities. She served as the Executive Director of the Engajamundo Youth Association (an education and political mobilization organization in Brazil), as mentor and strategist for the Amazon Region in the IARA Program of the Climate Laboratory of Purpose Brasil, and as project technician at the Podáali Fund (the first indigenous philanthropic fund in the country, with coverage throughout the Brazilian Amazon). She is also a co-founder and member of the Advisory Board of the Instituto de Ciências Periféricas – a science and culture organization created by and for people from the outskirts, which seeks to promote technical autonomy in urban and rural peripheral territories and rescue and value ancestral knowledge and technologies.
