Rosemary Trent
Development Adviser
Rosemary supports Global Fund for Children’s development team, building relationships in support of GFC and its partners in Africa. She is a proven nonprofit leader and fundraiser with more than 15 years’ experience in senior nonprofit roles and spent more than 17 years living in South America and East Africa while raising her three children. In addition to extensive field experience she has worked at three international headquarters including Save the Children, Partners In Health, and WorldTeach. She is a creative self-starter who co-founded and led Pueblo a Pueblo, a grassroots organization operating in rural Guatemala, serving children and youth in indigenous coffee farming communities. Rosemary also ran a volunteer teaching organization in Ecuador, doubling its size in two years while expanding the program to partner with the government and public universities. While in Kenya, Rosemary started a ceramic arts program for children from the local slums.
Rosemary has a master’s degree in teaching and is an accomplished trainer and mentor. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks Portuguese. Rosemary has a diverse range of interests which include working as a beekeeper, potter, and amateur artist. She is also a volunteer for Restoration Immigration Legal Aid, serving immigrants and asylum seekers in the DC area.
