Remijus N. Iweobi is part of GFC’s programs team in Africa, playing a key role in the implementation of impactful programs such as the Adolescent Girls Summit (AGS) in West Africa. Remijus holds over eight years of expertise in project management – especially in women and youth development – and has developed and executed innovative programs across local, national, and international platforms. His profound commitment to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) has led to transformative initiatives benefiting vulnerable populations in rural communities. Remijus thrives on collaboration and innovation, recognizing their paramount importance in driving human development and well-being. Prior to his tenure at GFC, he championed SRHR education and economic empowerment for marginalized groups, including adolescent girls, LGBTQI individuals, and teenage mothers. Notably, as Chief Program Officer at YOCEL, he played a pivotal role in orchestrating the planning of the GFC-supported Adolescent Girls Summit in 2022. Remijus holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is fluent in English, conversant in French, and is currently expanding his linguistic repertoire with German and Spanish.
