Perla Xcandalo, a 26-year-old Venezuelan trans woman, is a transfeminist, artivist, and community leader in Medellín, recognized for her political, social, and cultural work in defense of trans realities. She is part of the Red Popular Trans, a collective that uses cultural and political actions to guarantee the rights of the trans population at the local, national, and international levels, where she fosters collective processes and artistic initiatives that use creativity as a space of resistance, memory, and social transformation.
