Michael Nabieu

Michael Nabieu holds a BSc (Hons) in Social Work from Njala University and is currently an MSc candidate pursuing Environmental Management and Quality Control at the same institution. He is a dynamic, results-driven environmental sustainability advocate and policy influencer with over five years of professional experience, having worked with notable organizations such as UNICEF, Plan International, and Restless Development. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of FAIECY-SL, a youth-led organization dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability in Sierra Leone, Michael is an expert in youth and community development. He has a proven track record of leading impactful, community-driven initiatives both locally and globally. His work is focused on designing and implementing sustainable programs, influencing strategic policy, and empowering marginalized communities, particularly women and youth, through social entrepreneurship and innovative environmental solutions. He also holds a Certificate in Civic Leadership and Engagement from Louisiana State University and has co-published two academic papers related to his expertise. Michael’s key skills include project management, environmental conservation, and social entrepreneurship, all of which are aimed at creating inclusive and lasting solutions.
