Development Intern and William Ascher Fellow
Martha Baker is GFC’s Development Intern and William Ascher Fellow with a passion for child development, early education, and global health. At GFC, she assists the Development team in prospect donor research and stewardship, while learning about the importance of global advocacy and communication between program teams and high-impact donors. She is a recent graduate of Claremont McKenna College with a degree in International Relations and Cognitive Science. Her research experience abroad in Myanmar and Argentina, along with her internships exploring the impacts of international and domestic education policy at BRAC USA and the American Enterprise Institute, helped refine her academic and professional ambitions. These opportunities culminated in an honors senior thesis exploring how international organizations translate early-age cognitive science into emergency programming for children in crisis.
