
Laila Marie Rabah
Development Officer, Institutional Giving
Laila Marie Rabah is responsible for advancing GFC’s institutional giving efforts. Most recently, Laila worked in the social services sector for America Works of Washington DC, which provides employment and workforce development services to low income families. Originally from Palestine, Laila has worked in a program development and implementation capacity for over six years with both local and international NGOs addressing social and educational issues. With Save the Children, she managed child protection projects aimed at preventing child labor, exploitation, and gender-based violence, and promoting access to sexual and reproductive health rights. Laila has a passion for working with children and youth and has previously worked in refugee camps with International Rescue Committee, World Vision, and local Palestinian NGOs, leading stop-motion animation workshops used to empower children to become self-advocates and stimulate creative expression.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and social relations, with a minor in psychology, from Earlham College. She is a native Arabic speaker, and a beginner in Spanish.
