Kirsty Milev
Regional Advisor – Southeast Asia, Funder Safeguarding Collaborative
Kirsty Milev leads support for network members with funding portfolios in Southeast Asia. After pursuing studies in psychology and development management, Kirsty spent five years managing and providing technical support to local organizations implementing social work programs in the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. For the last four years, Kirsty has worked with Friends International as the Technical Coordinator for the Partnership Program for the Protection of Children (3PC), collaborating and coordinating with Cambodia’s Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, UNICEF, and 25+ nongovernmental organizations to strengthen the child protection system across Cambodia. She leads multiple communities of practice around child safeguarding, violence against children, and sexual exploitation and abuse, and provides tailor-made coaching and training support to partners in conducting risk assessments, developing safeguarding policies, and ensuring strong protection systems in practice.
