Global Fund for Children's Inclusive Language Guide

Our Inclusive Language Guide is a practical resource designed to support more thoughtful, consistent, and inclusive communications across GFC. Grounded in dignity, equity, and asset framing, the guide encourages language that recognizes the strengths, leadership, and lived experiences of children, young people, and communities without reinforcing stereotypes or deficit-based narratives.

Through guiding principles, examples, and recommended approaches, the guide supports storytelling, fundraising, partnerships, and everyday communications that align with GFC’s values and commitment to respectful representation.
