New Report: GFC Among Top Human Rights Funders

February 14, 2017 | Articles & Reports

In a just-released report from the International Human Rights Funders Group (IHRFG), The Global Fund for Children is among the top funders for human rights.

The Advancing Human Rights report analyzes the landscape of human rights funding in 2014, and reveals that among 700 grantmaking organizations, GFC was the 18th largest funder by number of grants. GFC and its peer grantmaking organizations “empower individuals, communities, and institutions to promote the protection and enjoyment of rights” around the globe. Top-funded populations include Children and Youth, Women and Girls, and Migrants and Refugees.

Deeply committed to protecting the rights of young people, GFC finds and invests in innovative grassroots organizations that transform the lives of vulnerable children and youth in more than 50 countries. By providing grassroots organizations with a combination of flexible funding and capacity-building services, we help them realize their potential, scale their efforts, and reach even more children in need. We are honored to be recognized among outstanding leaders in human rights funding worldwide.
