Join us for Facebook Live with Espacio Migrante

On Wednesday, December 12 at 11:15 ET, we’ll be speaking with Sarah Soto, Vice President of Espacio Migrante, to get an intimate look at what’s happening on the border with migrant youth. Join us! [Update: Check out the video below!]

Who is Espacio Migrante?
They are a binational non-profit organization that works in the area of Tijuana and San Diego, focused on supporting migrants, refugees, and deportees. They work directly with diverse migrant communities, including migrants from Haiti, Central America, other regions of Mexico, migrants of the LGBTQ community, women, and youth. Their team works to raise awareness on the issue of migration as well as empower migrants through activism and community organizing.

How have they partnered with Global Fund for Children (GFC)?
With support from the NoVo Foundation, GFC launched an initiative aimed at strengthening civil society organizations that protect the safety and rights of adolescent migrant girls in Central America, Mexico, and the US, while also raising public awareness on the challenges and heightened vulnerability these girls face throughout the stages of their journey.

Espacio Migrante is part of this transnational network of grassroots organizations serving adolescent migrant girls throughout Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States.
