Youth power

Young people are achieving incredible things - creating change in the present and shaping the future. We help young people become leaders and changemakers, making sure they have the opportunities, skills, and confidence to tackle the issues central to their lives and their communities.

Centering youth as leaders and changemakers

Every young person deserves the chance to shape the future they want. We provide young people with the tools and opportunities to live with dignity, purpose, and stability. By working with those who have unique perspectives, like girls, refugees, youth with disabilities, survivors of trafficking, and more, we support and champion young people activating their power and leading change.

Young people are on the frontlines of social movements, raising their voices for change. Youth are speaking up on climate change, spurred by the conviction that without action they may not enjoy a future on a livable planet. They are demanding quality education, decent work, and access to technology. They are mobilizing to resist rising authoritarianism and backlash against efforts to achieve gender equity, advance rights, and eradicate harmful social norms.

Our work is to amplify these youth voices and to support their active role in society. We prioritize programs that increase young people’s political and civil engagement, and raise awareness of their rights. By empowering young people to lead and inspire, we help them drive social change and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
