Why chose Global Fund for Children for your DAF giving?
GFC is building a world where every child is safe, strong, and valued. We support our partners with flexible funding and hands-on capacity development. Together with our partner programs, GFC has helped communities decrease gender-based violence, increase access to education and mental health support, protect against exploitation and trafficking, advance climate adaptation, and more.
The combination of long-term, unrestricted grants from GFC with nonfinancial capacity building support —including strategic advising, in-person and virtual training, and peer learnings — helps our partners strengthen their organizational capacity and drives lasting positive changes for communities and individual young people.

Donor-Advised Funds Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Donor Advised Fund?
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are charitable giving accounts that make the contribution process simpler, more flexible and tax-efficient. In the account, your contribution will be managed by your sponsor organization and grow tax-free. Once you decide where you would like to direct your funds, you can then recommend how much and how often you would like to make a grant to GFC or another charity organization.
Why give through a DAF?
Giving through a DAF allows you opportunity for an immediate charitable tax deduction at the time you contribute to the account. It also allows you to centralize your giving and record-keeping in one location. Lastly, setting up a DAF allows you to include family members in your giving decisions and to create a philanthropic legacy for your family.
What are the limitations of a DAF?
You may not use your DAF contributions for any donations to a private foundation. You may also not use DAF donations for any contributions that provide more than an incidental benefit to the donor, such as fundraising event tickets, tables, sponsorships or auction items. You may check with your DAF sponsor to ensure compliance with their guidelines.
How do I set up a DAF?
To establish a fund, you can make a contribution via cash, stock or appreciated assets to a sponsoring organization such as a local community foundation, Fidelity Charitable, DAFgiving360, or another financial institution.
