Vicky Ferguson
Director of Global Safeguarding
Vicky Ferguson is the Global Designated Safeguarding Lead at Global Fund for Children. She oversees all elements of safeguarding at GFC, including internal processes and partner support. Vicky is passionate about building strong safeguarding cultures that are meaningful and relevant for everyone in an organization. Before joining GFC, she worked as Head of Safeguarding, Training, and Learning at an international nongovernmental organization, and she was the CEO of a grassroots nongovernmental organization working in Kenya with children and young people living and/or working on the streets and children and young people in conflict with the law. Before moving into international development, Vicky worked with children and young people in the UK in both the civil society sector and the public sector. She worked predominantly within Homeless and Substance Misuse Services but has also spent time supporting young people in Youth Services. Vicky can speak conversational Swahili and is currently learning Spanish.
