Ashani Ratnayake
Marketing and Communications Manager
Ashani Ratnayake is part of GFC’s communications team, focusing on storytelling, digital fundraising campaigns, and growing audiences in the digital sphere. Prior to joining GFC, she worked at the United Nations World Food Programme in Sri Lanka, developing communication campaigns and creative content to enhance awareness and donor relations; managing social media; and executing crisis communications during Sri Lanka’s recent economic crisis. Before making a career change to the development sector, Ashani worked as a Marketing and Brand Manager at Nestlé, a multinational fast-moving consumer goods organization. She has a master’s degree in management from the University of Melbourne and a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in marketing from the University of Kelaniya. Ashani is fluent in English and Sinhala and is currently learning Spanish.
