Drawing to color for the defense of water
Editor’s note: This artwork is also available in Spanish.
On July 13, the Cultural Festival for Water was held in Kanasín’s Central Park. It was a family and children’s event organized by the Popular Assembly Against Extractivism in Yucatan.
In the face of extractive projects that put at risk the wellbeing of communities and the entire state, voices were raised with art, music and organization. Let’s be heard for water!

Let’s talk, share words and art with our communities and children to address the “Defense of Water” because: We take care of what we love! In the face of extractive projects, brewing industries, trains and other threats that endanger the water bodies and the territory, we organize and raise our voices! because water is life and we protect it.
