The Corona Book: a chain story written by children

The Corona Book invites children from around the world to participate in telling the story of Alkid, a 13-year-old girl living through the coronavirus pandemic. GFC is proud to join the project as its charity partner.

The coronavirus pandemic has closed the vast majority of the world’s schools, leaving 1.2 billion students unable to continue their education.

With more children at home than ever before, The Corona Book is a new project to keep kids entertained, furthering their education and allowing them to share their voice during this difficult time.

A democratic chain story written by kids during the COVID-19 lockdown, The Corona Book tells the story of Alkid, a 13-year-old girl living through the pandemic. Every child aged 13 and under is invited to write – or draw – part of the history from a child’s perspective.

Cause We Care, a creative agency based in Switzerland, launched the project in April in partnership with the International School of Geneva, the world’s first international school founded by the League of Nations. Global Fund for Children is now proud to join the project as its official charity partner.

All donations and proceeds from this project will support the children most affected by the coronavirus pandemic through Global Fund for Children’s Emergency Response Fund.
