Support children impacted by the crisis in Afghanistan

August 19, 2021 | Donor News, GFC & Partner Updates

Afghanistan’s government has collapsed and thousands of Afghans are fleeing their homes. Your support now is critical to keep children and youth safe.

The Taliban’s takeover has left Afghanistan in turmoil, and countries throughout the region and in Europe are preparing to receive waves of refugees.

The crisis has created enormous challenges for children and youth. Within Afghanistan, internally displaced families need food and shelter, and girls are expected to face increased obstacles to accessing education. Outside the country, refugees need emergency support as well as legal aid and other types of assistance.

GFC’s partners from Afghanistan to Southeast Europe are on the frontlines ready to respond. Many of them already support Afghan children and youth, and they are prepared to provide emergency services and long-term assistance to help refugees integrate into new countries. But they can’t do it alone.

Donate today to help our partners protect the young people who are most at risk.
