Our Partnership to Educate All Kids (PEAK) initiative, brings together 66 grassroots organizations in ten countries across Latin America, South Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa, that promote education access and foster lifelong learning.
Global Fund for Children supports local organizations in Central and South America, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia that are helping kids who have experienced pandemic-related education disruptions access and thrive in learning environments that prepare them for future success.
The Partnership to Educate All Kids (PEAK) initiative is supported by the LEGO Foundation. It fosters the learning and development of children aged 6 to 12 by:
Enabling local organizations to sustain or expand their work ensuring children are able to access education and return to classrooms; addressing learning gaps; offering services such as literacy programs, after-school tutoring, and digital classrooms; supporting emotional and social wellbeing; and advocating for kids who have been shut out of the education system.
Developing capacity to integrate learning through play into educational activities so that children can engage in playful learning that sparks creativity and instills a love of education.
Strengthening networks for advocacy and learning so that community-based organizations can connect, exchange learnings, and share innovations.
The PEAK initiative provides financial support and capacity development to 66 community-based organizations, reaching 100,000 children around the world who are facing barriers to educational success that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative also provides emergency grants to GFC partners to address unmet community needs that impact educational success. Meet our PEAK partners as well as the GFC partners who have received emergency grants through this initiative.
The most important thing to make the change in the lives of the child is joy! After doing fun things, they discover that they have learned things in the process! Making mistakes during the process of learning, in drama, makes the experience a lot of fun!

Our partnership with Global Fund for Children's Partnership to Educate All Kids (PEAK) Initiative … introduced us to play-based approaches, and we were eager to put them into practice. Sansamwenje Primary School recorded an impressive 86% pass rate, up from 56% the previous year. This demonstrates the approach's potential to enhance academic achievement and improve educational outcomes.

GFC’s flexible funding and the PEAK initiative has been transformative. GFC's partnership not only strengthened our organization but also affirmed our belief that sustainable change is driven by trusting local leaders who understand their communities best.
