Model-actor Susan Chardy joins GFC as a Global Ambassador
The Zambian-English model-actor Susan Chardy joins Global Fund for Children to support the rights and voices of children and young people worldwide.
“Growing up in Zambia, I saw the importance of a community taking care of its own. Global Fund for Children powers its partners to take the lead in the work they do – these community leaders know their people, their needs, and their limitations better than anyone. I have seen firsthand the transformative value local communities can bring when equipped with the skills and tools needed to improve lives.”
Susan is a model, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. As part of her role as a creative events curator, she established Wimby Wednesday, an annual pre-Wimbledon fundraiser introducing different causes to guests. She is passionate about helping others and continues to find ways to give back.
For this reason, Susan is excited about being a Global Ambassador and looks forward to this new opportunity to make a difference.
“In my role as a Global Ambassador, I am most excited about supporting communities, helping them grow, and partnering to transform the lives of many children and young people. I am thankful to GFC for this opportunity and look forward to being a part of its legacy as we continue to reach more children and youth across the globe, equipping them for the future they deserve, so that they too can be able to help others in their adult life. Let the circle of giving continue through generations beyond ours.”
