Promoting wellbeing & ending violence

Every child should feel safe and supported, both physically and mentally. Safety isn’t just about protection from harm, it’s about creating environments where children feel valued and live with dignity. We partner with community-based organizations to develop preventative interventions that help protect young people from the violence, trafficking, and exploitation, while helping them recover and rebuild their lives.

Our focus is on long-term, systemic change. By addressing root causes of exploitation, we support communities to identify and address the systems that create vulnerabilities for their children and young people. Our partners prioritize the care and protection of children and youth outside of mainstream society – trafficked children, migrants and refugees, child laborers, and survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation – securing legal identities, opening access to social services, providing education, and pushing for better policies that protect them.

We are also committed to helping our community partners protect the mental health and wellbeing of children and youth as well as their own. These heroic leaders, mostly women and young people themselves, need support from the wider community to protect their mental health and welfare as they carry out their mission and critical work.
