Philee Ang-Chen
Senior Program Officer
Philee Ang-Chen helps Global Fund for Children ensure that all children and youth are safe, strong, and valued by championing youth-led programs. A member of the programs team, Philee coordinates GFC’s masculinities work in England, implements Spark Fund initiatives in Southeast Asia, and supports wider strategic development in Europe and Eurasia.
Prior to joining GFC, Philee worked in grantmaking at National Emergencies Trust and John Ellerman Foundation. At National Emergencies Trust, she created a charity partnership program and maintained existing partnerships to ensure the availability of sufficient funding for survivors of an emergency. At John Ellerman Foundation, she worked with charities in the arts, the environment, and social action in their journey through the grant application process and grantmaking cycle.
Before entering the nonprofit sector, Philee obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology and worked as a Research Assistant and Statistician in clinical and health psychology. She won the British Psychological Society’s Undergraduate Research Assistantship Award in 2017, and her paper from the assistantship was published in the Journal of Public Health the following year. Philee is a Charityworks fellow and mentor.
