Alisha Pomells
Young Gamechangers Fund Program Officer
Alisha Pomells serves as a Program Officer on Global Fund for Children’s Europe and Eurasia team, supporting the Young Gamechangers Fund initiative in the UK. Prior to joining GFC, she worked as a youth engagement manager for the Co-op Foundation, and before that, as program lead on Islington Giving’s Young Grant Makers fund, which gives young people in the London Borough of Islington the power to choose how money is spent on youth services. Alisha was also part of the 2027 program, which sought to bring more people who identified as working-class and who had lived experience of working in their community into the grantmaking sector. Alisha has also worked with London Funders, which is a membership organization that encourages collaboration among funders. She has a particular interest in racial justice and was part of the Ubele Initiative’s Young Emerging Leaders Collective and took part in Ten Years’ Time’s Grant Givers program. Alisha holds a bachelor’s degree in international development and international politics from the University of East London.
