Marta Xicay Gomez

Program Associate

Marta Xicay works as a Program Coordinator on GFC’s Americas team, supporting a group of civil society organizations in Guatemala – under the Educational Recovery in Central America (RECARGA) initiative – to address academic gaps, create learning spaces, and advocate for the rights of all children and youth to receive a quality education in their communities.

Holding extensive working experience with grassroots organizations and prior collaboration with the US Department of State (ECA), Marta has contributed to creating significant impact in several areas, including gender-based violence, community health, and access to education. She speaks Kaqchikel, Spanish, and English.
