Ian Glasner

Ian Glasner is currently a Managing Director and the Chief of Staff for the Digital Business Services organization at HSBC, based in London. Prior to HSBC, Ian led Partner Product Launch at Google Cloud and worked in Sales, Strategy, and Operations at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to Google Cloud and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ian founded Refill, a company that aims to move point-of-sale directly to the customer for coffee shops, quick service restaurants, and bars.

Ian serves as a member of the President’s Advisory Board for the Carnegie Mellon University Experience, a board charged with providing insights and expertise to help enrich the CMU experience for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Since 2010, Ian has worked on behalf of the people of Haiti, cofounding two nonprofits that raise money for Haitian microcredit centers, women’s organizations, and schools. Ian has been an ongoing supporter of GFC since 2005, and in 2019, he joined GFC’s Global Ambassadors program.

Ian received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, the first in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus in software and the second in Business Administration with a focus in entrepreneurship.
