Young Gamechangers Fund Fellow
Irina Novac works with Global Fund for Children on the Young Gamechangers Fund, a new UK funding initiative that aims to change the way that youth-led activism, social change, and movement building is funded in the UK.
Irina is a young feminist activist based in Bucharest, Romania. She has been involved in the Romanian feminist movement since she was 17, where she co-organized protests, camps, conferences, and film festivals, particularly for young feminists.
Irina is a Young Leader in Women Deliver’s Young Leader Program. She also participated in the 2023 Women Deliver Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, and was a Europe and Eurasia Spark Fund panelist in 2021. Irina holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Bucharest and will be pursuing a master’s degree in sociological research at Sciences Po Paris. She speaks Romanian, English, and a bit of French.
