Have you had your moment?
It could have been a particular event—something euphoric, or a flash of awareness during a heart-wrenching crisis—when you decided to stand up and act on something deep and meaningful, to help those in need … to make a serious difference.
Many are calling this their moment of obligation. What was YOUR moment?
Tell us about your “moment” in GFC’s new Moments campaign!
GFC Founder Maya Ajmera found her moment in a crowded train station in India, when she noticed street children being taught by a teacher amid the chaos on the platform.
Because the children lived and begged at the station, the teacher met them where they were, providing free education, clothing, and food. These kids not only received education, but gained self-worth and opportunity for their futures.
Maya calls this her “moment of obligation” because it inspired her to create The Global Fund for Children. And we’ve been dedicated to transforming vulnerable children’s lives ever since.
What was your moment? Was it like Maya’s, or entirely different? Maybe you do your part by volunteering or donating to the causes you care about. Either way, we want to hear about you and your personal moment of obligation today.
We’ll be sharing and posting GFC-supporter moments on our site and in social media throughout the month of June. We hope to hear from you!
